building a new gaming PC with Ryzen 7 3700X (or the new ones next month),do you think it's worth paying extra for 3600Mhz 16CL RAM vs 3200 Mhz 16 CL?
there is around £17 price difference.

3600/16 is more likely to be Samsung B-die and should overclock with tighter timings should you dicide to manually tune.

In gaming terms unless your playing at 1080p with a strong GPU it's unlikely you would see any noticeable benefit.

With my 3700X build in March I decided to go for 3600mhz ram also rather than 3200, not much price difference in the grand scheme of things and will be good as can easily add another 16gb 3600mhz in the future once 32gb is probably worth getting (not worth it for me atm)

These are, I believe, extraordinaly expensive these days. My understanding if you find a 3600Mhz kit at 16/19/19/39 then it's Hynix BJR which doesn't have the same OC potential but is still quite good. I don't think Samsung B-die is in production anymore.
