I hate it now that people are referred to as consumers. In my business I refer to people as CUSTOMERS. They are giving me their custom and for that, I'm grateful. The whole "consumer" phrase is just a horrible progression, from customer.

The attitudes of people to others these days, is a reflection of the "illegitimate child"- ised version of capitalism. Where it's acceptable, nay, expected, to shaft everyone else for short term gain.

I so agree with everything said above, all these others coming out with, 'If you dont like it, cancel and get a refund'. That is not what Overclockers were built on, they were built on CUSTOMER SERVICE and sadly over recent years it has been lacking. For years and years I bought all my computer stuff from Ocuk, I recently posted I havn't bought a graphics card from Ocuk for 5yrs now and I doubt that will change anytime soon. Greed has taken over from great deals for customers (not consumers). Is the profit from rrp not enough, fair enough exchange rates, but £80/£100/£200+ thats not exchange rates which at most were £20-£30. Sad times indeed. As for Nvidia, I have genuine contempt for them as a company and the way they conduct themselves. I have always bought the best card for the best price for me, regardless of who made it. I really hope Amd come in with a great card at a great price. Any price gouging by the usual suspects and I will take my business elsewhere. Very very sad times.

It's generally good practice to not make things like order number chronological order, so I wouldn't count on that.

In any accounting system/software all invoices, receipts, etc. are chronological. That the best practice. Makes no sense to issue two invoices one day, one number 10 and one number 364.

Surely from a legal standpoint this is wrong, I added my card to checkout and purchased, when I got my confirmation etc and order number within my account £67 was added onto the price I clicked when adding to basked and checking out, jeez if I did this on my website I'd be ripped apart!
And it's not just me, I seen 10s and 10s of posts in here saying £50 was added, there's went up £40 etc, and OCUK are just going to get away with it, or let me guess, some sort of loophole crap allows them to.

How as I got charged £689.99 + £10 shipping O-o

I rang them, took nearly 40 mins getting through, bare in mind I genuinely had mine being processed @ £649 while the site was running at a snails pace, I wouldn't all started spamming them for a discount/refund if you bought the card knowingly at a higher price.

Sorted by the order numbers. Looks like ~1000 orders came through in the first 40 minutes. There is a big spike after 3pm which is likely due to more people managing to get through.
