How on earth can OCUK expect to complete all the orders they have received and will continue to receive any time this side of 2021. Their website is still openly selling the cards as preorder, but I feel it somewhat misleading, considering that those ordering now are unlikely to receive the card till 2021. The least they could do is to inform those purchasing now that there is a large backlog and a considerable delay. Especially given the fact they are taking payment straight away, whereas other firms (mine included) simply take a preauth.

Is there any way to have a general idea how far back in the queue one is for their 3080? I ordered mine at 15:19 on launch day so I think I might be miles behind everyone else, not sure tho.

Cheers

Hang on, business doing business things and its their fault?

Take some responsibility as a consumer and spend a few minutes researching what your getting into..

No, no, that would be too sensible, better to direct your anger and ire at the retailer than the actual real problem here and that is Nvidias paper launch.

I find it sad no one is saying enough is enough from Nvidia, and just bending over again to accept this rubbish from Nvidia

To be honest, we don't know that at this point.

We do know there is little stock in-channel this month.
We do know that the first week of October won't be much better due to 'Golden Week'.
We are told to expect larger volumes of stock in the rest of October

I wouldn't be surprised to see freely available stock of certain cards way before pre-orders for others are delivered though, and you will see smaller quantities of all of the cards popping up in odd places where they either didn't allow pre-orders or had very few.

Just like every other major GPU release really...

I'd rather see people given the choice to join a queue, lock-in a price and wait rather than be told there are no more pre-orders allowed.

It wasn't a paper launch, they just ran out.

Running out does not equate to paper launch.

For that look to team red:D

If you have 10 cards to sale, of course you ran out. I think nVidia rushed this so it doesn't collide with AMD's announcement/launch. Card makers needed more time, at least 1-2 more months.

which with Evga past performance might be January. Last two launches they send all their cards to the American market first and maybe one or two to the uk. People waited over three months for their Evga cards last time,
I've owned cards from almost every manufacturer going back almost 20 years now, and this was the first time I went with EVGA. If it takes 3 months to show up, it's going to be the last time.
