Thats what I was thinking, 2mm smaller device but the screen is still bigger than what I have on the 42mm S3..

Yes, mine is showing a 32Gb capacity of which 21,2Gb is available. I've got a couple of audiobooks on there.

The music section in the watch app on the phone let’s you either manually add music and/or playlists or you can have it automatically add your most listened to music.

I think 18 hours battery estimate is conservative from Apple, I put it on after a full charge at around 9:30pm last night and I've been wearing it since the battery is at 51%.

I charged it yesterday when I got it at 100%, slept with it on and this morning at 10 it has 28%. But first day syndrome of me playing with it and installing stuff and setting it up.

Don't bother. Although technically it's a computer, it's a watch and I think screen protectors look ridiculous. Plus it has curved edges so no protector will reach to the edge and its the edge you're most likely to knock. Take a look here.

The watch presents the card to the reader, it doesnt send any data over the internet. In the same way your Credit/Debit card doesn't need an internet connection.
I would have to make a 5 hour round trip to buy one in a store.

It stays unlocked if it stays on your wrist. If you take it off you’ll need to put the PIN in to unlock it, or it’ll unlock when you unlock your phone next to it.

Plus the watch supports express transit so in London you don't even have to double press the side button, you can just present it to the reader on the Tube/Bus.
