Death Star or Mount Doom, it depends on the day.
I have gave my son my old I5 system.

2500k, 16gb ddr3 ram at 1600mhz, p8p67 pro.

Bought a new SSD, Corsair 650 bronze PSU and Antec DF500 rgb case.

I can't complete a windows 10 install on it via USB as it won't restart. Then it powers briefly on, then off. From this, no matter what I do I can't get back on until I remove the battery.

If I save any changes in the bios with the view of save and reset, it shuts down and stays off until I remove the battery. Everything is plugged in, I've taken ram out and swapped it around, even left it out... Same issue.

I have reset the cmos.

My computer simply won't restart after a shutdown. Any ideas please?

I'd suggest disconnecting all the front panel stuff (check you haven't plugged the front USB into the firewire as well) and power it up using a screwdriver or something across the 2 power pins on the MB panel for the front panel. Install using one of the on board USB.

Possibly worth trying another SATA port as well as it's not a B3 board.
