I appear to be having the crashing issues reported on the news websites. So far a -35Mhz underclock has fixed it but I need to put some more time in to be sure. This limits my Gaming X Trio to 1965 max, but it doesn’t go above 1950 once up to temperature. I’ve tried 3 games; Forza Horizon 4, Control and Warzone and the crashing only happens in the Control and Warzone (the game just freezes and the Nvidia driver has stopped working if I check event viewer). Anecdotally from browsing I’ve only seen people report this crash in dx12 games like myself.

Problem solved

Update: The final demo released by Nvidia this morning seems to have jettisoned the demo map but you can still run the pre-canned benchmark by typing:
  1. timedemo 1
  2. demomap q2demo1.dm2

https://www.pcworld.com/article/339...rtx-2080-ti-card-ray-tracing-performance.html

Actually its
timedemo1
demo q2demo1.dm2
;)

But I got no fps disply, ill do it again with rivatuner and post results, I managed to get it into a 3440x1440 res by creating a custom res in nvidia CP.

Popped up to Stoke and collected this (from a competitor), I could have grabbed it Tuesday but I finished work late

Default run of Time Spy is 17,087
Max boost was 1950 during the run

Running on a 650w Corsair RM650x PSU with my i9 9900k and no issues yet (I've used 2 cables, not daisy chained)
So far max temp is 77c which isn't too bad considering it's in a mATX case

Probably clutching at straws here, anyone running any sort of 3080 inside a Corsair 240 air? Trying to stay with an itx build but struggling even with a 1080ti as I can't shut the windowed side panel cause of the bulky cooler and pci cables.

The Palit 3080 fits perfectly fine in the Corsair Air 240 :)

The hot air that blows through the card just gets blown straight out through the rad at the front and because of the mATX size the warm air doesn't heat up the ram or CPU :)

 I am sure there will be a fix soon, be it drivers or bios.

Got mine tonight, someone I know managed to get a few 3080's via his IT company. He was saying how little stock they got. I think from the distribution centre he had access to they only got 50 Gigabyte cards for the whole of the UK. Amazing card though, just had a quick go on COD warzone, 1440p maxed out on high/ultra and it didn't break a sweat! Seems to boost to 1950mhz.

What sort of FPS are you getting on 1440p maxed settings? Also how loud is the card?
