Unless youre working on very specific jobs, 8k and even 4k output is pretty unusual still. I'm an editor/mgfx artist and still asked to deliver 1080 99% of the time.

I'm using a 5820k, gtx 970 and 32gb ram and do videos for Samsung, Nokia, MasterCard etc and don't feel like I need to upgrade.

Also depends on the programs using. Resolve takes anything you can give it . Prem took ages to update to use Ryzen well :/
