Gpu running pretty hot?

Hi all,

I’m new here but I’ve just upgraded to a new msi rx580 from my old gtx 750. I loaded up watchdogs 2 excited but using the AMD Adrenaline overlay I noticed my gpu hits 74 temp within a minute or two of starting too play. The fams then start revving up and down, I took the side off and it is still around the same temps.

Are these temps something to worry about?

It is quite an old system with two front mounted 120 fans, no idea what make/model they came with the case which I also have no idea of the make/model...

Those temps are fine, it's when it's getting up to 90c that you want to start worrying.

If you install something like msi afterburner you can manually control the fan speed.

the bios in the card will have a pre-set temperature target. The fans will spin as fast as need be to keep that target hence why the temp stayed the same. Fan speed would have changed with the side off.
