PCIe gen 2 enough for RTX 3090

PCIe gen updates are great at selling new boards though

Would like to see manufacturers put gen 4 x 4 or gen 4 x8 on the main PCIe slot. So more can be used for other devices.

There are some games where it matters. Not common, but an example would be the recent HZD, it seems to be doing something in the background that uses a lot of PCI-E bandwidth, and that's only going to go up with the likes of DirectIO or whatever they're calling it.

Digital Foundry noticed it in their testing that there was a hit when PCIE gen 3 x8 vs x16 was in place, if I remember correctly.
