The question is points per watt. If a 3090 can get 8 million that's twice what a 2080ti does for <50% more power.
I'm interested in a 3070 which is less power draw than my hungriest card (TitanX) but could be getting 2080ti ppd potentially.
What we don't know yet is what Nvidia has really done with these CUDA cores. Does a 3070 really have 5888 cores or is that just like SMT cores?
What about the possibility of vGPU where the 3xxx cards can allegedly be split into multiple virtual cards allowing more than one work unit at a time? Will that work and will it be beneficial?
