Accelero (III vs IV) vs Morpheus vs fan swap?

Tests generally show better temps on Accelero but with more noise. Sometimes (rarely) Morpheus gets better temps on the GPU but worse on memory and power sections, which is more concerning. As a result, between Accelero and Morpheus, I'm more inclined to go for Accelero and perhaps just swap fans on it, albeit that's likely going to turn out more ghettoish than Morpheus's already-included 120mm fan brackets and no deshroud required.

With Accelero, the problem right now is that III tends to be more expensive than IV. This makes me think that perhaps I could just grab IV and buy a bunch of copper heatsinks to put on front in addition to the VRM-VRAM-cooling backplate. Pity Arctic doesn't sell them in a package.

Alternatively, however, I could wait for a good price on III (or just eat the cost), also buy some heatsinks and put them on the back for some additional cooling, instead of the ordinary backplate I now have — just don't know how much gain to expect and whether it's going to be worth it.

However, my card is this: link. The heatsink isn't horrible — a fan swap could make sense. It isn't Accelero- or Morpheus-grade, but perhaps with a pair of good fans it wouldn't be far behind. If I can get a decent stable OC with silent operation and in-spec temps, there isn't much point optimizing further.

The advantages of limiting myself to just doing a fan swap, on the other hand, would include a bigger budget for fans alone, meaning something like B12-PS or NF-A12x25 would be on the table. Possibly FLX/ULN to plug into Molex and avoid PWM.

The most expensive option would be to grab one of these coolers, whatever has the best heatsink, and still put a fixed-RPM fan on it with an RPM value that's below my audible threshold — at all times, because of fixed RPM, the whole point. That would be low RPM, so I would be inclined to spend some extra on VRM/VRAM cooling. Obviously, the total cost of taking this route would be so high that simply selling my 1070ti and buying a 1080 with the best manufacturer heatsink would be cheaper, although not dead silent.

However, I've heard a 120mm fan swap on the Accelero actually lowers performance. Hence, except for a large acoustic gain, which is of course the whole point, I wouldn't be inclined to go that way.

Thoughts?

I have 4, and just ordered heatsinks from the company direct . Using on 1080 with liquid metal temps don't go above 53 c custom fan curve.
Edit: it's very quiet even above 80% fan speed
