So I work remotely and VPN/Nomachine in to my work desktop.

It is a fully patched Centos 7 box.

I've been using it today and rebooted it for the first time in 55 days.

Upon reboot I only have a mouse pointer and nothing else. It's just black.

I have tried restarting it and restarting the gdm service to no avail.

Any ideas what I can d?. I've check the logs and nothing that's helps me diagnose the issue.

I have ssh access in to the box so it is still functional it's just the GUI that's messed up.

I am tempted to remove gnome and try and reinstall it but I don't want to lose all my stuff. I image all my files will remain as everything is in /home.

I do have these errors:

Oct 07 19:09:35 my-desktop gnome-shell[2089]: Error looking up permission: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.portal.Error.NotFound: No entry for geolocation
Oct 07 19:09:35 my-desktop gnome-shell[2089]: JS WARNING: [resource:///org/gnome/shell/ui/layout.js 29]: reference to undefined property "MetaWindowX11"
