I use ESET Smart Security (with Defender still doing periodic background scans) and I never see anything about allowing any processes during install.

I wonder if you went bareback (drop all security features/firewall (unplug Ethernet first as you can use the offline installer 32bit and 64bit choices) and installed and rebooted (plugging in cable) it would it work then.

What do you mean offline installer? Doesn’t the installer just download the latest files online?

Not 100% sure but the universal installer "lghub_installe.exe" is only 35MB so it downloads the full 32bit or 64bit driver for you (depending on your OS).

The offline installer does not seem supported now (read on their Twitter), claims it needs a connection to do update during install.

How about grab an older version that worked for you and hope it lets it install as older version then updates, not updates during install.

I cannot install this piece of crap software

Did a reformat recently and cannot get past the install logo animation. It just sits there spinning and spinning.

Anyone had this issue? I’m running a light speed G502 and G915 TKL which I’ve had working previously.

A fresh install of Windows 10 with ZERO updates, ALL windows updates, no drivers installed, ALL drivers installed, new installer, old installer... nothing works. I’m totally stumped.

All the advice I’ve seen says to reinstall but that’s not worked. As far as I remember from the last known working install was that it should prompt for a windows firewall acceptance but it doesn’t. Forcing it through the firewall hasn’t fixed anything so
had the similar issue. download latest microsoft visual c++. If it wont help try previous one

Like I’ve said... I’ve already tried that.

Ive gone back and tried ones I know work (literally the last update) and ones a few months older. Nothing.

I shall try installing visual C++

Advise you use these as full up to date packs (amazing what programs and games can randomly crash due to these not being up to date).

- AIO Repack for latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes, without the original setup bloat payload.

- Built upon VBCRedist_AIO_x86_x64.exe by @ricktendo64

- The process is handled by a windows command script, which runs hidden in the background by default.

- Before installation, the script will check and remove existing non-compliant Visual C++ Runtimes, including the original EXE or MSI setups, or older MSI packages versions.

- The uninstallation option/script will remove any detected VC++ runtimes (except UCRT).

- Windows XP support is partial, the pack will install and detect latest runtimes versions, but it will not check and remove non-compliant versions.

- You can extract the installer file with 7-zip or WinRar to a short path, and run Installer.cmd as administrator

Update. Installing C++ didn’t work.

I looked at the suggestions on Reddit had success installing with the 2020.01 exe but as soon as I updated the software it would get stuck in the same loop

Normally you’d say “so don’t update” but it doesn’t even recognise my keyboard on that old revision; so I have to.

Really lost for words now. Literally nothing had changed from the last time it just won’t let me use the app.
