My Dell machine has just died so i have taken the plunge to buy another

I am looking for something quick and fast and will last me for a few years

Windows 10 Home 64 Bit

The colour space on the display is awful.

Check out the Legion 5P with and AMD Ryzen CPU and RTX 2060 for £1000

Its on a competitor site but you should find it easy enough.

the laptop I’ve mentioned only comes with 8gb ram but it’s expandable.

Legion do some really nice laptops thanks for your advice , would you say they are better then XPS range ?

Really happy with my Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H:

Core i5-10300H
8GB
256GB SSD
15.6 Inch
FHD 144Hz
GeForce RTX 2060

I added a 1TB SSD and will add another 8GB RAM for dual channel.

Thermals on the GPU are excellent. On the CPU they're par for the course (all my recent laptops from various manufacturers have run ~90'C under heavy loads like Prime95).

If i were buying a laptop right now it would be the lenovo 5p with 4800h and 2060 for a grand.

But i bought my A15 in June with 4800h and 1660ti for the same money :o

I'm happy with it though and it was the best available at the time for the price :cool:

Was going for the Dell XPS but defo might be going the Lenovo way , something that will last me a few years i hope
