So they made Torchlight Frontiers for mobile and it flopped, so they took out the in-game purchases and came crawling back to steam with a £30.99 price tag...

Didn't realise until I just looked at this on Steam, that TLIII is not made by Runic, who made the first and second games. Could be one reason this has turned out to be dissapointing.

Just looking up Runic, I see they were dissolved in 2017!

Well, I revisited this game a week or so ago and I have to confess I'm still playing it. A lot has changed, you pick your class and also the relic you want from the beginning.

Oh, and you can buy respec points from vendors meaning you can swap builds and skills more freely.

I'd only recommend buying this when it goes on a sale, but if you like your loot aRPG's it's 'playable'.
