Not a big fan of the whole benchmarks will come up on the same day or day after the orders open, it's like with the 3080, I wanted and RRP model so went for GB eagle only to learn the power sliders are locked on the card, we were lucky the benchmarks were 2 days before the release but that was not enough to consume all the content to make a good enough educates decision.

My new build will be dependent on me getting a 5900x, my current system is now 5 years old(6700k) and its showing its age. Wont splash the cash on other parts till i secure one :)

What motherboard are you going for if you get the 5900X? In the same boat myself. Want to upgrade, but scared to buy parts and find I get cant purchase them due to stock levels.

I'm waiting for x570 asus crosshair viii dark hero(hero updated version). I think its released by asus on the 5th november, but dont quote me on that.

Cannot wait to replace my 2600k and 780ti with a 5950X & 3080RTX. The performance jump should be beautiful.

What's the normal price difference between getting OCUK to build the machine and my buying the parts through them an assembling myself? I guess the wait would be longer...

I'm planning to go for a 5900x as well (also on a 6700K), waiting to see what the GPU's will be like before I decide on that. Not sure if I will go for 32 or 64GB memory though.
