KB4023057 was just pushed again yesterday or today which is meant to pave the way for those stuck on 1909 build but it still doesn't offer 2004 build for me so I think I must still be held up by the Conexant driver issue.
Has anyone else not had the 2004 update yet ?

This update keeps failing for me, with ESET constantly reminding me that my system needs critical Windows Updates installing.

Well my Lenovo is still sitting there with no sign of ANY update, even if prompted! Neither the May one (2004) or the October one!! Mind you, none of my 3 other devices have been offered the October update yet.

Mine's on 2004 OS build 19041.

Still on 1909. My update screen doesn't mention any other update nor tell me that I'm not compatible. Do all versions of Windows update to new versions or are some manual only?

I just take a fresh backup with Veeam Endpoint, it's awesome and free.
Then as soon as a new major update comes out, I force it from the Microsoft site.

Just updated my new Omen17 laptop today using windows assistant updater. Now on 20H2 and all seems fine
Got fed up waiting - used the Microsoft "Windows update assistant". Only 1 pc had updated.
With the update assistant 2 Intel home-builts (i920, i5) updated; Asus Eee slowly updated. Not tried the Lenovo laptop yet as that has a Conexant sound driver which frequently causes blue screens and is not always easily recoverable from.
So that is 4 out of 5 on 20H2 and 1/5 on 1909 - blocked by Microsoft from going to 2004 because of sound driver.

The date on the known issues page for 2004 and the Conexant entries changed to 20/10/20 the other day but the advice is still the same, to wait for an update in an upcoming release. Still says 'investigating' too so I'm not sure why they updated the last updated date. Anyway it's more of the same in the Conexant wastelands, tumbleweed.

Finally received an updated Conexant HD Audio driver from HP Support Assistant, so fingers crossed I will be unlocked from the 1909 wastelands soon...

Finally got some update preview type update this morning which installed in no time at all and then revealed the availability of 20H2 so I was spared the 2004 update in the end.
Had to reset my M18X laptop yesterday as I could not remember the password. After it was done and updated it was 1909 and does not offer 2004/20H2. I will just leave it as I don't use it much which is why I forgot the password. I manually updated from 2004 to 20H2 on my AMD PC and it messed up the login screen, had to convert to a local account to fix it, my Intel PC updated from 2004 to 20H2 from windows update without issue and only took a few mins.
