Hi all,

These are not listed as being compatible with X570. Is this simply because X570 does not support quad channel or are there other compatibility issues when using these sticks with an X570/upcoming 5950X? I am also assuming running 4x will hamper OC somewhat?

Before anyone asks, this system will be used as a dual purpose games machine and VM server.

Thanks

Yeah 4x16GB will only run dual channel and getting decent speeds is a bit of a lottery depending on board and your CPUs memory controller.

I've got 4x16GB of B-Die but currently only run 2x16GB as can get much better speeds.

I'd personally go 2x32GB if I was buying now. Something like:

Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO Black 64GB 3600MHz 2x32GB DDR4 Memory Kit

Hmmm the recent news about Ryzen 5000 running best on 4000MHz memory has thrown a spanner in the works for me. I am looking for the optimum 32GB (that can be expanded later) or 64GB configuration but there doesn't appear to be anything out there capable of hitting that mark... correct me if I am wrong?

Decided in the end to go for a set of Crucial Ballistix 32GB RGB 3600MHz CL16. Hopefully I can get 4000MHz out of them and if not/I need 64GB for VM usage I will look for a 64GB 4000MHz kit later on down the line.

Decent choice, I also went for this. Not the same dye as the Team Group stuff but it seems to get praise. Not sure how much millage we will get out of OC'ing it.
