OC to offer incentives to Nvidia customers not to cancel their order?

I would like to make a suggestion to OverClockers that they offer their customers who have Nvidia GPUs on pre-order an incentive to remain loyal with them and not cancel their orders and go with another supplier, or come back later when they actually have stock they can ship.

Perhaps a latest game or a £15/£25 (3080/3090) credit that can be spent on our next purchase at OC?

You're comments on what OC should offer, if anything, might help them make a decision.

lol why would they? Where else are you picking a 3080 up buying now this side of christmas?

Its not their fault Nvidia dont actually have a product made for launch, OC's only issue is lack of updates and thats probably down to an NDA Nvidia made them sign!

OCUK already have an incentive to remain loyal, which is that if you want your card as fast as possible you'll stay in the queue with them.

Other retailers in the UK also have huge pre-order queues to get through, and even once they've worked through those thousands of orders stock availability will be a complete lottery as people camp the stores day and night to try and snatch out stock when it lands.

Delays to stock and lack of stock information is not OCUKs fault, they're limited by what the supply chain can provide and those same limitations apply to all other stores. They have nothing to compensate you for. if you're unhappy with the circumstances then I'd suggest canceling your order, but you'll be waiting longer for your card.

Just how entitled are you?

You're perfectly free to cancel your order and go with another supplier, that is what a free market is about. Obviously you have no guarantees that going with another supplier will get you your card any quicker.

Oh p.s. in before the thread gets locked.

No point.

OcUK are a business, if they give away £15/£25 in one place they have to take it back in another place to maintain their margins.

If they were a charity on the other hand......

They don't need incentives. They're selling everything they receive regardless.

Sounds like you're searching for a reason to cancel. If so you should go ahead.
