mmWave sounds like the old iPhone 4 "you're holding it wrong" all over again. :p

I personally have zero interest or need for the 5G connectivity right now. Not that there is any anywhere near me, even if I was.

Looks like my pre order from Vodafone which they said they cancelled is going to be delivered to me on Monday now.

Will have to take it to my local Voda store and cancel it as I’ve ordered direct from Apple but that won’t be here till 9th Nov.

I think it was the 512Mb Pro at £849 instead of £1299, quite a lot on MacRumours are waiting to see if they are honoured.

They actually priced the full range of Pros at £849, they even priced the 512gb Red at £799 the next day so someone is having fun messing with the prices at Amazon. I managed to get in an order for a 256 Pro Blue and am waiting for confirmation still.

When you say "they" I listened to a podcast a while back with an employee and all the pricing and even negotiation with sellers is automated and run by algorithms. Absolutely incredible even something as high profile as an iPhone launch clearly hasn't had human intervention.
