Thermal pads on ssd heatsinks

Hi all, just a quick question, I understand that the Asus crosshair VIII X570 has thermal pads on the inside of the M.2 SSD heatsinks, the question is, are these thermal pads sticky? If I have to remove the SSD how easy are they to remove?

Their usually the same type that is on Motherboard VRM and GFX card heatsinks, the semi sticky rubber strips.

They mite take some effort with the glue but easy enough.

Why do you need to remove them ?

Thanks for the response, I am asking about the side of the thermal pad that makes contact with the m.2 ssd. Incase I need to swap the SSD out.

I do not want to remove the thermal pad from the heat sink.

they are usually fine for couple of installations ... do not worry
