It was a bit of a surprise when I went to delete my card details and it wouldn't let me, and googling up on it more so again tbh given the companies attitude to those who don't want their details held.

I would hate to know a company wouldn't allow you to delete card details. Only one reason for this.

From reading up on it a few people have resorted to signing up for prepaid cards just so they can replace their proper account details.

I'm pretty sure there's legal issues with what they're doing in the EU/UK which they acknowledge, but you need to jump through hoops to get your data removed.

NOTE: An active Uber Eats account requires at least one payment method at all times. If you want to delete the only payment method registered to your account, add a new payment method first.

Honestly if I'd known this prior I wouldn't have signed up.

Anyone reported them to the information commissioner? Pretty sure they can’t force you to always give them personal details.

Is it easy to delete your account?

Impossible via web browser as far as I can tell, it should be possible from the mobile app though.

Hardly convenient if you actually use their services regularly but don't want your payment method permanently attached though.

In reality Foodhub should have had a more robust account system in place, the 'first time order' discount is a great idea to take business away from the likes of Just-Eat but it's far too easily exploitable

Foodhub give the discount back to the takeaways as 'store credit' to by pizza box's, take away trays, bags.. all sorts of stuff, see here --> https://shop.touch2success.com/our_menu.php
that's why they arn't fussed about people reusing discounts ;)

That's fair enough.

Although the fact they're suspending some peoples accounts (@LeeUK) shows they're growing unhappy with the practice. lol

I've never seen any FoodHub branded stuff at any of the takeaways I use, they mostly just use generic pizza boxes and plain carrier bags.

In acme's chair.
Groundhog day. :p :D

September...
I heard that the restaurants get the funds back as Foodhub store credit to spend on Foodhub branded products like Pizza box's etc, see here --> https://shop.touch2success.com/our_menu.php

The takeaways I've used, especially the one I order from loads with their 20% menu discount don't have any FoodHub branded stuff. All the places round here just use generic unbranded stuff.

A couple of days ago i noticed a takeaway around the corner from me (which has been shut for 3yrs+) has reopened under a new name,
they're your usual pizza/kebab shop, and they have just sprung up tonight on Foodhub!
my delight turned to frustration when i saw their pizza menu though as they do all their pizzas bogof which is no good for 1 person and they overcharge for the first one...
9" £12, 12" £14, 14" £17,
that's nearly Dominos prices :(

Well ;)
as i had a spare £3.50 off a £10 spend code i thought i'd give them a try...

i've had a slice of each and they're pretty good, wish they'd drop the Bogof thing though as i'd rather just get one 9" pizza and some cheesey chips or smth
