Vega 56 upgrade - seeking advice

I play at 1080p with a 144hz monitor. The vega 56 has been a fantastic card and still plays most games, some though *looking at you warzone*, the fps dips to as low as 50 in some places of the map, mostly sits around 70 though. (This is on the lowest of low settings)

I have around 300 to 400 budget for my next card and it doesn't need to be the latest and greatest, happy to go a generation behind.

I'm not too up to date on current GPUs, any suggestions out there?

Edit - incase it's relevant the rest of my system is a 2600x on a B450 board, 16gb ram (3200 I believe) and samsung ssd 860

Behind you!
a 2060 or super variant would do you just fine. I have a 2060 with a 1440p monitor and i get around 90fps at the near lowest setting so at 1080p you should probably get 144fps at near max settings.

I've got vega 56 also, but i would think it should be performing better than that on warzone, especially on 1080p. I play on 4k, and with some setting on medium/high it does around 70 fps most of the time, so i don't get why yours is performing like that. And 2060 is almost same as vega anyway, i would wait till new cards comes in.

Is your vega overclocked? (What settings out of interest if so?) Is there any sort of benchmark I can run to see if my vega is running as expected?

Mine is pulse 56, it overclocks in game to about 1595ish on core and 950 mem., my p5/6/7 as at 1100mV, +50 power limit. Tried playing on 1080p with most settings on high or enabled, and i was getting from 90 to 110+ fps.

I too have vega 56 with 4k display. I have some settings turned down and agree with this fella its really playable, as I checked with the uncapped framerate its goes over 200 sometimes.

Absolutely terrible advice to get a 2060 that wouldnt even be a sidegrade.

At 300-400 there's nothing worth buying until next year from a V56. Definitely look into testing yours and OCing/UVing, that performance in COD doesn't sound right at all.

Wait for the pricing on the 6700XT, I currently have a vega 56 and am sitting it out for the 6800/XT. Not much point grabbing anything else after yesterdays showing unless you fancy a nvidia 3800 but I think 16GB will be a safer bet long term
