Banish that CPU to the phantom zone with his 14nm brothers! :D

It is a great value CPU if you are on a tight budget for a build, happily works with cards that perform up to an RTX 2080S without causing too much of a CPU bottleneck, although if you pair it with a B/H series board then you are capped at terrible RAM speeds, and given how cheap fast RAM is now then that is a negative.

I have spoken lol

No, only joking. I just can't bring myself to buy Intel anymore until they make some bigger gains.

I know they are great in lots of ways and will probably destroy again in the future.

It's not as bad as you are making it sound, if using all-core boost PL2 power limits it will easily beat most other CPU's in the price category, hence why it has become so popular recently.

Also more basic Z series motherboards can be had for around £120~£130 if you want to tweak it a bit.

Good price for that CPU, let's hope millions buy it, Intel becoming the budget brand is the last thing they need, margins on CPU's like this will be low if at all existent :D

Serves them right!! :D

What^^^^^^^???????? 20 thread 10900K is 6%, a whole six percent faster in Multithreaded than the 12 thread 5600X.

PassMark is the best case for the Zen architecture.
In Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Google Octane, WinRar compression, Super Pi and numerous other applications the picture will be quite the opposite.

This is cherry picked app. Just like userbench.

Yes, Zen 3 (Ryzen 5000) is the last CPU on AM4, and B450/X470/B550/X570 only, they will NOT work on any 300 series board.

I thought so. I’m currently on a ch6 with a 2700x, I’m tempted to go a b550 with a 5600x on release and upgrade to a 5800x in a year. I’ll be skipping am5 1st gen, had 6 months of hassle by jumping in early with am4.

Yeah that 5600X result can't be right. More likely it's the 8 core, otherwise the single CCX makes the MT score ~1k more points per core than the 5950X.
