As title really. Might be a big ask but my work are offering £160 towards peripherals for WFH. We can top it up if we want.

I'm rocking a hand-me-down (from 7 years ago!) Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW which is… fine. Wondering if it's worth looking at anything for photo editing? I don't need bigger than 22-24".

There will be a bit of gaming too, but performance for that I don't really care about :)

Thanks.

The Dell P2421D would be a good shout at this price. 24" 1440p monitor. 24" and 1440p will be nice and crisp. The resolution will be good for seeing more detail in photos, not as good as 4K but trying to play games at 4K is costly.

Dell has great ergonomics with lots of adjustments, good warranty and good factory calibration.

You can also pick up solid 144hz 1080P screens with IPS or VA panels for under £200.

I'd personally lean toward the Dell suggested above, but if you like gaming and are limited by screen size you could easily have the best of both worlds unless 1440P is a must.

Such as? :) I'm so out of the loop here, talking to my friends and they were saying for gaming 144Hz is a must. Couldnt see if that Dell managed that at 1080p?

There's the Acer Nitro VG240YPbiip for a start, I'm not sure if OCUK stock it or not but it's a 1080P IPS with Freesync and a 144Hz refresh.

Here's a couple of OCUK monitors that fit the description:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £599.97 (includes shipping: £0.00)

You might want to look up reviews and check they are actually at the latency they claim to be.
