You wouldn't swap a 2080Ti for one but that's not the competition. Most telling will be what AMD can compete with, then we'll really see if it is good or just okay.

The release date for 3070 was moved by 2-3 weeks to spoil the AMDs party, and to gather a more substantial stock inventory.

All of those failed 3080/90 dies will be 3070.

3070FE could launch with decent stock.

If that happens, AMD will be deep down stream without a paddle.

due to a broken samung 8nm node, all sellers are price hiking due to even the 3070 is scarce.
The price is going up due to demand will ensure no cards to sell so they can price hike the cards for you.

The good thing about this is tomorrow amd unleash the big navis that you can buy instead without a price hike

An XBoxX at my desk for "PC" gaming with keyboard and mouse and a PS5 in the sitting room for big screen gaming is far better value and arguably a better experience than paying these ridiculous prices.

And yet retailers like that big Danish retailer will only have 200 2070 cards in stock on launch day and not every model and they placed an order for 3000.

For sure there will be more 3070s around than there were 3080s but since they delayed it for 2-3 weeks you would honestly expect a lot, lot more.

And demand is likely to be higher,.

So lets say OCUK had 50 3080 cards on launch day and sold out within 2 minutes. Even if they have 200 3070 cards they will be sold out by 1.05pm.

YEAP 2080 TI is dead. Same perf 53W less than 2080ti.

Plus oc vs oc the 2080ti is still 10% faster even in RT games.

Only going to get worse when the ps5/xbox sx games get ported, the consoles have more vram and are cheaper. 3070 is decent but too expensive for what it offers.
