You could always flash the bios and see how it does with a 390w power limit? Strix should let you get up to 500w with the right bios (and it’ll use it).

Assuming temps are in check I would expect a gigabyte master or OC bios to get you to above the 2ghz mark simply enough, just don’t use a bios for a 3 plug card on a card with 2 plugs.
ive thought about doing the bios change but Im due the asus strix friday next week I've been informed so will return the zotac next week unless someone locally wants to purchase it.

How do you return it if you’ve been using it? Are retailers cool with that? Or do you just wrap it really carefully and promise it was never used?

Change of mind after using it hmmmm, do you have a link to the terms and conditions.

For better or worse check the returns policy. Within 14 days

If you wish to cancel any of the products on your order and return them for a refund, you have up to a total of 14 days to contact us after the final receipt of your order.

You can be liable for any diminished value however, but within 14 days you can return it.

If there is a fault, you have up to 30 days to get a refund

You are entitled to reject goods if they are faulty (do not match the description, are not of satisfactory quality, or are not fit for purpose). You have up to 30 days to check the goods and contact us if there is a fault. You can decide to claim a full refund (including shipping cost) or request a repair/replacement of the faulty product.

So yeah up to 14 days. Not really cool seeing people pick up placeholder GPUs with idea of sending it back in mind when they get the actual model they want but hey ho.

Got my Strix 3090 this morning. Doing some benchmarks now to make sure everything is fine. I can already tell it blows my previous card (2080 Ti) out of the water. :D

Next, I plan to play Control for the first time with everything maxed out, including RT.

You git! I'm still waiting for my Strix OC :( I assume Asus are picking faves amongst retailers as the company I ordered from here in the NL simply hasn't received any since the initial launch.

Asus said they are currently only shipping to Asus partners, retailers that promise to only sell one card per customer and a third criteria I cant remember for now. Guess your retailer fails on one of those.

Once normal shipping containers start arriving that will change.

Great card, but the flimsy paper heatsink doesn't look up to the job, I'd not be happy at all, and might suggest you get something else. I'll take this off your hands, for a reduced price of course, due to dodgy heatsink.
