I don't know if its my cable but some games won't work with g sync or 120hz like rise of tomb raider no gsync, but 120hz. Shadow no gsync and 100hz. But works fine on desktop gonna try a 3m lead instead of the 5m I'm using. Really is bloody hard work to get this running right

Currently bought
Lg 65c9 (so flakey on what inputs it likes
Denon avc-x4700h (not even tried 4K120Hz but works g sync 60hz but loose low latency mode but heard there chip isn't even compatable)
Rtx 3090 fe (pretty epic but doesn't play ball with the above)

You need a 48gbps cable for 4k 120htz

I'm currently playing at 1440p which only needs an 18gbps cable

That could be your issue

Did the one I linked in your other thread not work? It fixed my issues -- all except the gsync issue which this new firmware should fix anyway.

Couldn't get into the engineers menu and was a bit worried about it tbh thats a higher code isn't it?

What cable do you recommend? I've just upgraded my E9 with the latest firmware and whilst the picture has improved, I still get a bit of flickering at 4k 60hz and it's unusable at 120Hz.

I picked this 3m cable up a few weeks ago thinking it should be ok https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07ZMBBH3B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's all a bit frustrating really, as I'm really looking forward to letting my 3090 loose at 4k.

Been told this is meant to work if you just need 3m I need 5m where my pc is so I got this which has got the best results but not perfect still yet to try the 3m

Check out the first review, it's no good. Buy a certified cable.

Any old HDMI is fine for 1080p. Pushing 4k120 requires a lot of bandwidth and a decent cable.

100% I found this on dvi when the Korean screens could do 100hz 2560x1440 length and quality mattered a lot

Thats why I'm asking, Amazon is flooded with crap and struggling to find one without having a new one ripped. If I've got to pay £50 for one, so be it but was hoping for a cheaper alternative.

It seems that most people are still waiting for their cable to be certified right now so there's no actual certified 2.1 cables out there. Personally I would stick with a known brand like Belkin or similar and read the reviews.

HDTVTest used the TrueHQ HDMI 2.1 cable and worked perfectly doing 120hz @ 4K & VRR.

I picked up a club3D 2.1 cable but have yet to test it due to lack of cards being available.

What? the review where the guy is looking for magic to improve his image quality? He even says he's using a 2080 super, so doesn't use HDMI 2.1. I wouldnt take notice of that review.

I've seen that cable recommended by HDTVtest for use with 3000 cards.
