I’ve always painted walls some kind of light colour whether it’s white or egytian cotton

we finally have decided to rip the wallpaper off the hallway and go for a dark coloured feature wall. Other half is set on barrow and fall stiffkey blue, my question is will I need a primer/undercoat going straight from plaster to a very dark colour.

Also any tips for those who have used barrow and fall would be appreciated. At the price I’d rather get it right first time :D

google was just full of companies saying you need to but obviously they are just trying to sell more so thought I’d consult the “experts” :p

Just needs more coats.
If there was wallpaper on the wall, just make sure you have all the glue off.
If a bare plaster wall has been wallpapered then you really need a specialised primer. Zinsser do one. Zinsser All-coat. This is to ensure that the paint sticks to the remnants of the wallpaper glue.
