Support for 38" UW monitors

I am about to buy a new monitor and that would be a 34" 3440x1440. But I have noticed that the newer 38" 3840x1600 seem to be gaining in popularity at the top end of things.
I am just wondering, is the support in games about the same for 3840 x1600 as 3440x1440?
I already have a 3440x1440 so I know what to expect but I may reconsider getting 38" if it's going to give me problems.

Games generally support the aspect ratio (rounded to 21:9 in both cases) rather than needing to specifically support the resolution. So yes, the vast majority of titles that support 34" 3440 x 1440 will support 3840 x 1600 on a 38" screen in much the same way.

OK thanks! I' still not sure at all which one of the monitors I want, but it really helps to know that the aspect is more important than the resolution.
