Looks like the game DVR on Series X has not been improve from the Xbox One.

Xbox game DVR compared to the PlayStation is total garbage.

Was really hoping for an update to improve it.

Fingers crossed there working on it.

it does NOT do native 4k

Yes it can for Movies and apps.....:) Nelson confirmed a while back that all games are rendered at 1440p or below and upscale to 4K. Having seen both running I cannot tell the difference between upscaled or native 4K tbh....

It can do native 4K no problem, there's no physical limitations to stop it.

Its got the same hdmi 2.1 as the X. Its just not powerful enough to do AAA games at 4k 60fps so they said it would upscale those to 4k from whatever resolution the devs set their render to. For indies and less demanding games, like Ori, they can output at 4k 60/30 whatever they choose to.

I don't have an Xbox One but I thought it was supposed to be even better than the PS4? If you plug in an external HDD, you can record two hours of 4K footage in a single file, can't you?
