I just read this on the BBC site.

Very sad news.

I remember watching him in As Time Goes By, and then he was in the first series of Executive Stress along side Penelope Keith.

For the older ones here he was also in Butterflies (which also starred a young Nicholas Lyndhurst).

No one has ever been better at deadpan humour than Geoffrey. Bloody brilliant. As time goes by was always one of those comforting shows you could watch that made you feel warm and cosy.

RIP. I hope he gets his sausages now. Was an avid gooner as well which makes me love him even more. Man had class.
