The pc you've listed should easily play Fortnite at maximum settings, you really shouldn't need to upgrade. If the game isn't running properly then something else could be wrong. I wouldn't spend money on an upgrade...a 3080 for Fortnite at 1080p resolution is utter madness

He says that when he turns RTX ON in the settings of Fortnite is not running fluidly anymore.
I've installed msi afterburner as well, what should I post for you to help me understand?

You don't want to use RTX if you want high fps, even with a 3080 fps would still tank with RTX on.
He should be using just DLSS on its own if he wants high FPS.

Thank you much appreciated. But does this mean that is not possible to play Fortnite smoothly with RTX ON?

Its still possible to play but you not going to get over 60 FPS even with a £1800 GPU unless you also use it combined with DLSS and even then your only looking at 100FPS max so its more of a setting to turn on check how it looks and maybe take some screenshots or use for single player mode but when you go back to the serious business of competitive multiplayer then its definitely something that should be turned off.
