PS5 Noises

Can you please post any experience with PS5 noises (coil whine / fan noise).

I just got mine today and a noise is noticable in the ingame menus and then when gaming it increases in intensity.

I want to see if this is "normal" and if to return it.

So when in menus sitting about 6 foot away with tv noise muted can you hear anything?

Can barely hear mine unless I go right up to it an even then it's quiet. Can you record it so we can compare?

I'm sat a couple of metres away from the TV and console and I can't hear it at all. I'm so impressed at how quiet it is. That being said, if I pause the game and really listen I can just about hear the fan, but I have to stop moving and hold my breath, so it's really not an issue.

Well mine is clearly noisy from around 8 foot so I guess it’s faulty

Maybe it is. Although, what game are you playing? Some games made the PS4 Pro sound like a jet, others, not so much. I've been playing Spider-Man Remastered so far.

That's exactly how mine sounds, but for me to hear it at that volume I have to stick my ear to the top of the console.

I definitely am hyper sensitive to noise and I can't hear it at all during games. I got so miffed at the PS4 Pro that I had a ridiculously long HDMI cable and I'd stick it in the other room while playing.

how do you go about swapping out a faulty console with Sony? Do you deal with Sony or the shop bought from?

If it were me I’d go back to the shop you got it from. They’ll probably issue a replacement if and when they come back into stock.

I beleive it would be with Sony directly. If you got it from Amazon you could try them.

Sell it to a deaf person for double money.
