3DMark - Fire Strike overclocking records @ HWBOT

"With the overclock, the GPU was able to score an overall score of 48,890 points and 61,831 graphics points in the 3DMark Fire Strike benchmark. This makes the Radeon RX 6800 XT not only the fastest GPU on the planet but also the only GPU to have broken the 60K barrier in 3DMark Fire Strike. If we compare it with the previous entry, you can see a 4% performance uplift in performance with a 150 MHz higher boost clock.

We can expect the Radeon RX 6900 XT to reign supreme in the HWBot Hall of Fame once it launches next month but for now, even the Radeon RX 6800 XT is a force to be reckoned with, offering insane overclocking potential with a very compelling price versus its competitor & even NVIDIA's flagship RTX 3090 graphics card."

Great for world records, but not exactly a 24/7 gaming rig. but well done to the LN2 boys!

Its nice that the 6800xt can get a good score in Firestrike DX11.

Yet there are no 6800xt's in the time spy hall of fame yet. Come on overclockers. There is even a 2080ti at 45 with a 2.76GHz core clock. https://www.3dmark.com/spy/6991533 We all know why the 6800xt is strong in DX11 (requires 1 GB video card memory, what size is the infinity cache? 128MB ROPS etc) but everyone wants to know the LN2 DX12 performance.

One benchmark at a time.
Come on it hasn`t been a week since Big Navi launched. When 3000 series launched, they were all turning off the computers in the first week before Nvidia dumbed them down with a driver update.
Give AMD some time and they will own every leaderboard. They just need 2-3 years to improve their drivers. :)

Guys, remember that someone coming in hear arguing that big Navi isn't some graphics panacea vs Nvidia isn't the end of the world, and also, those that do come in here advocating for Nvidia, try to detect when your talk is drifting off topic, and at that point it's time to bow out of a thread.

Ray tracing test for Cold War

tldr: 6800xt is slower than the minimum framerate in the rtx3070 and that's before you turn on dlss

3080 is 70% faster than 6800xt
3070 50% faster than 6800
With dlss on: 3080 is 125% faster than 6800xt

RIP "nVIDIA Killer". :p
Good news that people aren't too hard on AMD. Ryzen did changed some mind share. :)

Where's the 3080 Timespy WR?
Wait for 6900xt then talk.

The Radeon RX 6800 XT is as good in DX12 as is in DX11. The benchmarks haven't been run yet with any results.

AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT review - DX12: 3DMark Time Spy (2016) (guru3d.com)

And this is before the fully enabled and better binned RX 6900 XT kicks in.

Thats the Time spy score. For a gpu you post the graphics score. The graphs you used are from here https://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/amd-radeon-rx-6800-xt-review,26.html

The score, note how it matches your graph.

What you left out was they gave the graphics score too, which was higher for the 3080. This means they used a better CPU. The nest graph show the graphics score with both the 3080 FE and the 3090 as faster than the 6800xt. The 3090 massively faster than the 6800xt.

Graphics scores
The 3090 is 20144
The 3080 is 17832
The 6800xt is 17275
Thus, both the 3080 and 3090 are faster GPU's by your own source. Why did you post the score and not the graphics score? Was it your intention to deliberately mislead about the performacne of the 6800xt by ignoring your own source's Time Spy Graphics scores?

Why did you ignore this graph from your own source showing both the 3080 and 3090 ahead in time spy for performance?

Your post makes the 6800xt look far better performance wise than it is shown via your own source.

Wait and see what FXSS brings to the table before jizzing yourself. RT is only viable with DLSS style upscaling so I would expect AMD to catch up when they release their version.
Right now the 6800XT is king when it comes to 1440P where majority of gamers are at. When 4K is common the 3080/6800Xt wil be old tech.

MS and AMD are working on a DLSS feature called Super Resolution. It's in development. With reference to the 1440p claim.

Actually the average score in TimeSpy is 17685 (3080) vs 17557 (6800xt)
Since 3080 is an older graphic card and the drivers, overclockers and custom AIB's have already sucked all the juice from the card, we should expect to see the 6800xt in taking the lead pretty soon.
