Hi,

I'm on a i7 5820k @ 3.9 ghz but have been lucky enough to get a 3080 so am looking at doing a system upgrade using OC for the build (bar graphics card). Budget is prob £1 - £1.5k (could go to 2k if needed) and want a great machine but am not as close to parts anymore since last build 5 years ago. I've got a 1440p 144hz monitor and would like to play things at ultra to use the card ideally! I'd like a water cooler as opposed to air cooler just for personal preference. Will need a full tower probably, the MSI Trio is massive so want to make sure I can put it in ok.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi you should be aiming at the new 5000 series cpu from amd but the problem is availability.

The msi 3080 trio is 323mm so it could fit in dome midi towers but there is also the and 6800xt gpu to consider.

Rgb and Wi-Fi needed ?

Yeah, i'd like wi-fi and rgb. My preference is intel, friend has had a lot of issues with a 5600 although bios issues and a restart every few days randomly so not ground breaking, just put me off AMD personally

Would you not get the 10900k? or is it very marginal gains?

I've asked for a quote for the build with some minor tweaks, will see what we get back

what about this and sticking with my existing PSU etc.? I've got a corsair 780T Full-Tower PC Case from existing build already and seems the new rad would fit so this might be more cost effective way to upgrade if OC would just put it together as a bundle perhaps

Total: £1,320.41 (includes shipping: £10.50)
