they do look amazing but apparently aren't great value for money in the home market - trading off the name mostly. I'd love a decent de+ but again, really struggle to justify the £3k for one.

Yeah but a 100% + profit margin is usually unheard of in a lottery style gambling system. Even a pub slot machine will pay out 80% of what it takes in with a 20% profit margin.

Modern cars for you but 1280kg is acceptable for a modern car with AWD and an interior.
Fun factor appeals to me and the limited production is a nice bonus.

Ditto - been to a few places with them & they taste exactly the same as all the other Nespresso machines tbh. Advantage is they are super easy to use, bad thing is they are only a small step up from instant.
