The UK Date format being replaced by the US style.

Try working for a US company in the UK. It's literally the most frustrating thing at work.

I have to deal with this on a daily basis. Dates is small fly when you have software that outputs in EST/DST in some functionality, GMT in other and finally your 'local' time zone has selected by you. It's annoying our army of developers don't figure being a global company (US based) with tens of thousands of staff around the world, it would pay to bake in some timezone features.

After 10 years I still have my Burnley accent..

I quickly learned to start speaking like an American once I moved here because it was simply easier to make myself understood. I say words like, "waarder", "dayder", "shedule", "restroom", and "gasoline"; much to the chagrin of some of my family members who still speak with a very British accent.
