Hi currently have bt's fttp full fibre 900 using there router, and then a second router being used as a ap as the wifi signal doesn't reach throughout the house.

Its annoying having to change the networks all the time, what are my options?

I was thinking about a mesh setup then I was wondering about a asus ax86u and then using a cheaper router to use there AiMesh.

Or I could just live with it and put the money to a rtx3080 if they ever become available.

thanks for your time.

Best option is to wire up APs (such as ubiquiti stuff) with a cable fed directly from the router.

Second best option is using a good mesh system - there are some good ones. I've had a really good experience with Google WiFi, but it won't be quick enough for your connection.

To get the most out of your gigabit connection, you'll want to look at a WiFi 6 solution.

Are you actually running different SSID’s for the AP and the router? If so that would be the first thing I would suggest changing.
