Hi folks, first time poster here.
We're moving into a new place soon and I need some advice on our broadband provider. It's a newbuilt flat, with fibre to the home connection by Open Fibre Network (OFNL). Reading around, I seem to understand OFNL is specialised in connecting up newbuilt developments, and not all FTTH providers have access to it.
People I know who have FTTH have mentioned Vodafone and Hyperoptic, but those aren't available to us it seems; the full list of providers is here: https://www.ofnl.co.uk/residents-businesses/available-isps
Does anyone here have any experience with this, or any advice? We don't have massive needs, but there's two of us streaming and using videocalls on the regular, often at the same time. We both use cloud storage for work and FTPs, though we don't move massive amounts of data around.
I've searched for older threads and there's only one from a few years ago, I'll also reply there.
For reference (And for future searches) these are some of the providers on offer.
- Purebroadband
- vfast
- MTH network
- seethelight
- Air simply smarter broadband
- directsave telecom
- kinetic telecom
- breeztel
- Love your broadband
- redraw Internet
