Stepdad basically chopped off one of his fingers back in May on a table saw, that was bad enough! Guy in the story is lucky really I guess and I hope he gets full use back!.
My stepdads surgeons could not save the finger as it was basically cut in half length ways, they did try using loads of stainless pins etc. to hold it together but it just did not take due to lack of blood flow. Poor old boy now has a stump which caused him loads of pain and is always tender.
He was distracted for a second and that's all it takes!

Makes you realise how lucky we are to have the NHS, despite all the crap that gets thrown its way by keyboard warriors.

The type of accident that really does only take a second. What an incredibly sobering story to think about before cracking on with DIY.
