Will this be a decent upgrade from an 1080ti?
Will this be a decent upgrade from an 1080ti?
Probably be around 3x the priceProbably around 3x as powerful.
I mean all the ti cards have been good pickups, really even the 2080 ti was a good pickup if you got it at mrsp early on as you got multiple years of top dog gaming, atm the 3060 ti is the best value for money card and it is under £400 and the 3080 at £650 is a great pickup as well the problem is the mrsp being hard to get.
Probably around 3x as powerful.
Will be around the same performance as a 3090 so should be at least double the performance and then some, depending on the game, resolution and so on. But yeah, a decent upgrade.
Err, no.
The 3080 is about 70% faster than a 1080Ti. A 3080Ti will thus be about 80-85% faster than a 1080Ti.
Sounds pretty close to double the performance.
Nice try. 80-85% faster is not "at least double the performance and then some"
I would think that’s dependent on the situation. I’ve seen benchmarks at 4K that indicate it’s often at least double, and then some...
