I have a KFA2 3090 and in COD CW the settings disable DLSS but enable all Ray Tracing to Ultra. In GeForce experience the same. I game at 1440p so do I not need DLSS as Ray Tracing produces enough frames? Curious as I thought DLSS would detect card and enable but it seems not. Anyone know? Getting over 100fps on my 144hz freesync monitor so not bothered really.

If you don't need the extra FPS from DLSS then don't turn it on as it does reduce image quality. You should have the option to turn it on though.

Also, when turning on Ray Tracing in COD CW, the game forces Filmic SMAA T2x anti-aliasing, which to me makes the game look as if Vaseline was smeared all over it. Hence, I personally turned off ray tracing so that I could have anti-aliasing either disabled or at SMAAx1. Although I played campaign with Ray Tracing, it was okay but in multiplayer the blurriness from filmic AA is unbearable.

Can I come and play :D. Had my Palit Game Rock 3090 delivered just before New Year and all installed and configured now

Runs everything I throw at it very well, surprisingly ;) and drives my 5120 x 1440 monitor at its native 120Hz very nicely. F1 2020 at ultra at > 120fps, ACC at a similar rate, very pleased with it and finishes off the new PC nicely.

Damn thats one golden chip there, my strix maxes out at 2155. 1 Mhz over and it crashes no matter how much voltage i give it.

I have settled on 2100 for 24/7 day to day running.

Yeah does seem to be a good chip this one :D its actually my 2nd strix as my 1st one arrived faulty with the buzzing fans issue but that was probably an average chip looking back as my game stable setting was 2085/2100 (2145 in benchmarks) any more and it would crash and the memory was pretty bad on it as well as anything over a +600 in afterburner would have the pc hard shut down:rolleyes: i did put an evga bios on the 1st strix which gave me a little extra and allowed the old core to boost to 2160 in benchmarks but that was your lot.... This new one has no issue boosting to 2190hmz in games and will even hit 2220 in certain benchmarks and the memory is so much better as i can push this one to +1300 before it hard shuts down , very happy with the replacement :D

you do realise the memory error corrects and will actually be running slower will before you hit 1300? When i error checked mine, the max performance was +585 on the memory which is pretty high compared to most.

I will guarantee your card running at +1300 will be slower in benchmarks than running at +1000 say ;)

ah yeah for sure i was just saying what it can hit max.... the only benchmark the +1300 seems to work well on is the direct x ray tracing feature test as can take the **** with the oc setting and push them pretty high probably due to it being mainly static images  Every other benchmark best scores are around the +1050 to +1150 range any higher and score goes down :)

Sadly he can not beat an air cooled 6900XT on Firestrike with the same LN2 cooled Kingpin setup.

I am really getting fed up and disgusted with EVGA and their marketing.

They should spend less time doing publicity stunts like this and put more effort into distributing cards to the rest of the world (Kingpin is only available in USA/Canada).

Good to know it’s not just my strix that’s rubbish at overclocking. I thought it would be great once I got an ek block on it but it’s no better than when it ran on air. I run +120 on my core and 200 on memory. What temps you getting? How do you error check your gpu ram?

Don’t make the mistake I did and flash over the performance bios with the new quiet ones.

Didn't think about that , thankfully I flashed while still in the performance mode. Will have to remember to switch back from the quiet one if they do another update though as I always leave the card in quiet mode now as the fans are way too aggressive in the performance mode.

Kingpin is available in Australia and in good supply on store shelves, I hope that helps

33c max temp but not even bothered turning up my watercooling fans as no point since i am at the same limit as I was on air, just like you.

somebody wrote an error checking app for the gfx memory. You set your overclock, run the tests and it shows how much error correcting is going on. Keep upping the overclock until the error correcting starts and that should be about the sweet spot
