€85 only I think, just a few Christmas presents from amazon.de
2 day delivery to switzerland who doesn't have it's own amazon, kinda nice

done it a few times, on one order they refunded me part of the taxes/import fees saying they had over estimated them.

That’s common - I order sometimes with delivery to Malaysia and they nearly always overestimate the duties / taxes. They usually ship by DDP so I guess they estimate the highest amount they might be liable for.

Sometimes I don’t get the notifications until like 3-5 months after delivery though!

I've used them for so long I thought it would be interesting to see how the number of orders has changed. As mentioned above there would generally be a couple of items on each order except for the first few years.

I think the jump around 2014 is when I started to get paid a decent salary so was spending more and the jump in 2018 is when I moved job to somewhere that has two lockers onsite which again made it less hassle to order from as could just walk 2 mins and collect the item when it arrived. Worked at home since March in 2020 so although I bought a lot of household stuff (paint, tools, etc) its still down a little from before.

86 Orders last year. I dont think i could live without Amazon, id have to like 'Go in shops' and stuff.

the best part is for silly things like Cable ties, £2 for 100 with free delivery? why would I spend time out of my day to go into a store for stuff like that? when i could do it while taking a dump at work? id have earned the £2 from my salary while being on the throne, so technically I got them cable ties for free!

71 orders placed this year but most of the time, I am on ebay. Also, a lot of purchases from Black Friday, don't buy anything all year and await till BF to spend my money. Mine isn't that bad, thought it would be higher but wow, saw someone post 855 orders. I am going to try to support local busineses but savings wins out, I can see in the distant future, everything will be owned by Amazon so we are screwing ourselves here.
