Adjusting bifold - slim hex wrench

My bifold needs adjusted slightly, and I bought these to do so:

(after a LOT of searching! only thing that fits).

The 7mm bit seems to be too small, and using an 8mm adapter, it is too big? I dont think you get a 7.5mm bit, so wondering if there is some weird imperial size inbetween a 7mm and 8mm that I'm missing?

Probably imperial?maybe?
Try a 9/32" allen which is 0.2813 or a 19/64 which is 0.2969"

5/16" (7.94mm) would be a more common size that's just smaller than 8mm as described.

Thanks... now the issue is that I need either a slimline hex wrench as linked above (which seem incredibly rare, about 4mm thick), or some kind of 3/4/5mm metric to 5/16" adapter?

Could you cut down the short leg of a standard Allen key so it'll fit into the gap?

Tried that, the clearance is so small the actual body of a normal hex key doesn't fit! Needs to be the slimline ones above

Hard to imagine how they designed the adjustment screws to be so inaccessible.

How about grinding your 8mm down to fit?

Indeed - its a bizarre design. Essentially the middle runner on the bifold has the height adjustment upside down, and a normal allen key will hit the side of the guide rail. The only thing that'll fit is one of these slimline keys, which fits fine, but the socket itself seems to be an odd size I think I just need a 3mm/4mm/5mm to 5/16" adapter (I have other adapters, but none of that size!)
