Idk why you'd even bother using rage mode. It scores lower than the auto undervolt. In fact out of the presets in the amd driver the auto undervolt is the fastest by miles.

I will give this a try.
Only the 2nd time I've had a chance to get on the PC since I got the Card installed.

Joining the team guys. Manged to get mine for £1295 including next day delivery so thought that wasn't too bad. I did have mixed emotions of guilt and excitement after pulling the trigger but I'm starting to make peace with my behaviour! :D

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your Radeon RX 6900 XT.

Enjoying tinkering around in Wattman. Seems to be really stable regardless of how far away from stock settings I go with no crashes, artefacts or freezes so far, all be it that going too far has a negative effect on clock speeds at times. Amazing to see the game clock hit over 2.6 Ghz in gaming! Answer me this please; I have zero interest in saving power - is there any point in my trying to undervolt? It's not as if there is an issue with temps or throttling so are there other gains in performance to be had by under-volting?

Only if you are hitting the power limits or that performance is not going up despite the clock speed going higher.

You can check for the former by monitoring in game voltage and clock speed, If you see them drop for more than a couple of seconds at a time that may be happening.

Got a red devil 6900XT arriving today, will post a TROH pic when it arrives... curious what are the "expected" base level stable clocks people are getting vs what will be considered good? There seems to be fairly sparse info online about 6900XT overclocking results.

E.g. currently my 6800XT merc 319 speedster is rock solid at 2600mhz and gets me some nice 3dmark scores, but unsure whether 2600mhz is considered average or a silicon lottery win:

https://www.3dmark.com/spy/16789854

Obviously I want to see material improvement over this with the red devil 6900XT but I guess we'll see :)

Also.. I have a coolermaster 850W gold 80+ PSU, hoping that will be plenty of power including OC'ing with both this and running PBO of my 5950x... anyone able to shed any light on this? E.g. whether this should comfortably support it all or if it's borderline and will come down to other stuff such as DDR and SSD's etc.

I tested a 6800 XT and a 6900 XT, using identical clock speeds, voltages, power limits and fan curves. In GPU bound scenarios, the performance difference was 10-12%.

Max Settings, with RT/Blur and Film Grain off
2500Mhz/2100Mhz with Fast timings

6900 XT

6900 XT 12% faster in the above.

If this is your PSU, then it looks good for a 6900 XT. You want 70a or higher on the 12v rail in my opinion.

Here are more timespy results with the GPU tweaked with manual settings.
Min 2400Mhz
Max 2650Mhz Voltage 1175m
Mem 2150Mhz.

GPU-Z Shows it pulling 320watts.
Max clock was 2684Mhz
Memory clock went up to 2654Mhz.
Lot of drop offs showing on the graph though.

Article out today, UK mass suppliers reporting that AMD has missed its January shipment for Ryzen and Radeon products, the product ETA for Retailers changed from fixed date to no ETA

The supplies issues are getting bad now, this is not like AMD delivered fewer units than ordered - this is the ship never arrived and UK suppliers have been given no ETA for when more stock is coming
