brother is buying a computer off a friend and wanted to know if the following card would allow
him to surf the net in 4k on his 4k tv.

4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1050 Ti - DVI, HDMI, DP

comes with an intel i3
8 gigs ram
256 ssd

The GPU will be fine. It's capable of 4K @ 60Hz over HDMI as it's HDMI 2.0.

The TV would be the only question; what make and model is it and does it have HDMI 2.0? I believe HDMI 1.4 is only compatible with 30Hz at 4K.

It would still work at 30Hz but I can't stand desktop usage at 30Hz.

Edit: by the way you do know your brother wants to know if he can use it for 4K porn right?

ah yes good psychic work there my real question was meant to be " 4K @ 60Hz over HDMI "
yeah he does have a new tv with HDMI 2.0 cheers.

and luckily 4k porn is all good as we have 200mb broadband :D
