Ref BIOS F31 final, I am finding it very stable and it is allowing me to push my 5800X a little harder than previous BETA or F30 versions. 4975Mhz is achievable across all cores where anything over 4900Mhz previously produced BSoD WHEA errors. I will keep you posted.

RAM running @3800Mhz the same as IF. This has never been an issue though. Using Crucial Balistix 3600CL16 at stock timings.

Post your settings please buddy, my 5800X wont boost past 4850mhz on the Master, im using F31q from the Gigabyte website, also overclocked my RAM to 3800mhz CL16 with IF at 1900mhz, not played with the curve optimizer yet, I tried Negative 15 across all the cores but it just kept crashing, BSOD or not booting, runs super cool now so I dont see why it wouldnt boost higher.

Should be a new beta on the way very soon though, I saw MSI have released a beta for AGESA 1.1.9.0, Gigabyte are never far behind.

Having issues with my memory on the board.

No matter what I do, my ram always reverts to 1066mhz.

Its 2 x 16gb of g skill trident z.

Flashing the latest bios f31
I've tried XMP
Manual timings.
Resetting the bios.
Re flashing the bios.
Disabling dual bios
Replacing the cmos battery.

Any help would be appreciated

What slots are you using for the ram?

A2 + B2 are the recommended slots.

Hi,

Would someone mind briefly explaining the PBO settings to me. I have this board paired with a 5900x.

At the moment I'm not that interested in overclocking my CPU and just want to let it "do its thing". PBO by default is set to AUTO, is this the best setting and what does this allow the CPU to do? Am I holding it back at all, is there a better setting?

Thanks in advance.

For me Auto does nothing and will be default unless I turn on PBO in RM. To have PBO proper in bios change PBO to advanced then set limits to "motherboard". This will give you proper PBO without having to turn on via RM every boot. (f31 Auros Elite)

It never mattered so much on 3000 series (for me on 3600) as PBO was no different to stock but on my 5600x PBO is essential else it is gimped by default power limits, not sure if be same difference with 5900x and its higher limits.

If you are going to turn on PBO via AMD overclocking menu in bios you may as well stick curve op on as well (PBO2).

Same here can't post higher than 1600mhz, no matter what I do or with f32a or f31 or f30 (5900x x570 master patriot 4400cl19 and also gskill 3800cl16)

With my 3800x there was no problems posting at 1900 flck and the memories at 3800cl14

Im using a rev 1.0 board, no issues here, ive not tried F32a yeat, not sure im going to bother either, i'll wait until the official release, AMD say you cant back flash the AGESA updates without problems, my ram is 4 x 8gb Crucial Balistix RGB 3600mhz CL16 and having no problems getting it to post or boot at 3800mhz CL16 1.45v Gear down mode enabled, SoC at 1.100v using a 5800X at stock with PBO enabled, curve optimizer is neg 20 all cores.

Returned this due to power issues (a common problem it seems). What's the next best board under £400 with x3 M.2 slots? Using with a 5800X. Board must have wi-fi also.
