I’m guessing due to space restrictions for working during COVID they were probably not able to employ seasonal staff this year hence the backlog of orders. I know this is impacting other businesses my wife orders from, only their about 13 days behind at the moment. :O

It would be nice to see an eta at time of order though, to set expectations, poor customer service guys are probably fed up with dealing with the same query’s over and over.

My suggestion would be to post in the customer service section, your query will be answered same day, you won’t have to wait on a phone line and the staff can answer at a time that works with their schedule, meaning less wasted time for everyone.

Only 13 days behind? Only? Wow you must be kindred to overclockers, I wouldn’t ever offer any of my customers a service I clearly can’t provide. I’d be asking for a refund but it seems these guys are the only place that have them in stock. Well at least only ones to claim they have stock. Bottom line don’t take peoples money and leave them in the lurch having to chase you for information then your phone lines wouldn’t be so busy and people wouldn’t be in this forum slating you

I'd suggest re-reading the quoted message, it clearly states the company the posters wife orders from is 13 days behind and not here.

Not defending OCUK specifically here as this applies to all businesses at the moment. It's normal for stock to land and it not be immediately shipped out to customers. It takes time to add the stock to inventory and its important it is done accurately and securely for both the integrity of the system and prevents loss. The latter is particularly important when dealing with high value goods with relatively low margins. When you only have so many people in your warehouse due to C-19 it makes things more difficult than it ordinarily needs to be. Chuck in a lockdowns where the products you specialise in are in massive demand followed by loads of new launches, chaos at UK ports, brexit and... well you know the rest.

I ordered some dining chairs and they have been delayed by over a month due to issues at the ports.

Eventually got through after 45 mins on hold today where the staff member was SO HELPFUL by informing me there is a back log from new years weekend and my order should hopefully be dispatched middle of next week... despite me paying for dpd shipping im still having to wait over a week for item to be dispatched? Never have i heard from any company that they have a 'backlog' if you havent got the infrastructure you shouldnt be advertising items as in stock/available

Do not forget, you paid for DPD to deliver the day after despatch, you did not pay for OCUK to prioritise your order. Pretty sure once despatched DPD will deliver next day, which is of course what you paid for

I spent £500 on 11th December for items that were due in stock on 14th & 23rd December. It’s now Saturday 9th January and OC haven’t been in touch once to provide an update. I called up twice to see if I could get any information and the staff on the phone were not friendly. I got nothing but one word answers and felt like I was talking to a stroppy teenager. They were also unable to shed any light on when my order would get dispatched.

Not sure why there are people defending oc for this level of customer service. There are ways to handle/prevent this situation. The Lian Li stock had ETA X date when ordering however people don’t realise that the batch arriving on that date is already sold out so they are actually ordering for stock that won’t arrive for 1-2 months. I’d far rather of kept the £500 in my bank and look out on other retailers for the stock than get hustled into this waiting game.

On top of this, a little more communication with customers would go a long way. My friend ordered SL120s that were in stock at the time of ordering and he’s been waiting a week with no info. I can definitely see HAelecs frustration at paying a premium for a delivery and still having to wait an unknown amount of time for dispatch.

My mistake I did misread that and you’re right things do take time to process from being delivered to a warehouse and being shipped out however no where did it state to me there will be 7-10 day delay in shipping of an item that was advertised as “in stock”. In stock surely means on the shelf ready to be shipped out no waiting on container to be cracked open and unpacked in the next few days?

Anyone here trying to backup overclockers here must just be a shill because no way would anyone sit there and go no no they’ve done nothing wrong they’re just busy, don’t bother working overtime you deserve a break. Christ they profited over £2m last year and they can’t even send there customers an email to say sorry for the delay eta is xyz date or would you prefer a refund as a courtesy.

100% agree DPD will offer the service I’ve paid for despite the current pandemic because that’s what a reputable company does.

If you want a refund, create a post in the customer service section asking for one?

Businesses are all trying hard and struggling at the moment, DPD are built to handle seasonal load because they can afford to, they’re massive, (and awesome, but also expensive).

Realise you have a first world problem and get over it. As you said no one else has stock of the item you want so you’re kind of stuck. Moaning here isn’t going to do any good what so ever.

As for being a shill, I ******* wish, I want free stuff. The rest of us are just understanding adults who aren’t flipping **** over having to wait for their commodity items to be shipped.

I missed the current batch of White 360 AIO’s by one day. I had been dithering for weeks over ordering one or using the 240mm Arctic freezer II I initially bought. Had I made up my mind faster I’d likely have it by now but thems the breaks.

What did you order on the 2nd? Might be worth asking for an ETA in the customer service section.
