They say SAM is doable on the 3000 series chips, I have upgraded to the latest BIOS but forgot to check if there was a SAM option.

Do we know if this is some thing we can enable yet on x570 boards with a 3000 chip?

Hi,

Do all Ryzen cpus have an Aluminium ihs? I was going to use liquid metal, but haven't used amd for a while.
My friend has just warned me that all Ryzen have aluminium ihs that will react with liquid metal and fix the cooler to the cpu so it can't be removed.

Thanks.

I am being told 8-10 days now for my 5900x delivery so I think end of January stock should hopefully start to be a bit more steady! Looking forward to getting it in my rig... then I only have to wait for a GPU, sigh... :D

Import it from other countries - it's available and at the MSRP ;) :D

I don't know why the UK (or Germany, for that matter) is screwed but other foreign retailers do get stock.

The UK and Germany have insane demand that's why stock is so bad, people can't get enough and they sell out the moment they come in, not to mention the crazy long backorder queues. The countries that have it in stock (like Romania) have less demand and probably don't ship internationally.

Somewhat correct - if you really want it, but really, you will find a way to ship it from Romania to the UK, or from Denmark, to the UK.

About the availability - it's terrible mismanagement from AMD - the less interesting parts Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 are available, and what people look for the Ryzen 9 is not.
They should shift the priority.

The market is flooded by the Ryzen 3000 series which no one sane should ever buy. Why didn't AMD forecast properly - terrible mismanagement.
